We have absolutely loved our time with una kids Springwood after hearing about them through a mum friend from my older kids school we decided to go and have a look for our 1 year old daughter and it was the best choice we made she has settled right in and they make you feel warm and welcome every single time you enter the center.

I couldn’t be happier with Una Springwood! My 18-month-old has absolutely thrived since starting here. The educators are so caring, patient, and attentive, and the centre itself is clean, welcoming, and full of fun, engaging activities that support learning and development at every stage.

I especially love the beautiful outdoor play areas and the sweet touches like the little pet birds at the entrance and even pet lambs for the children to enjoy — it makes the environment so special and unique. It gives me such peace of mind knowing she’s in such a safe and nurturing space every day. I’m so grateful to the whole team for the genuine love and effort they put into caring for the children. Una is a beautiful, warm and welcoming childcare that is child-centred. Their pedagogy aligns with everything our family values and was seeking in a daycare. My child loves the animals and has special bonds with all the Educators. Una have created an engaging and inviting space for our littles one.

An excellent facility. Plenty of outdoor space for the children to play and lots of animals to interact with. Our children have blossomed in the environment. They also do aged care visits to grow your child's connection to the community and elderly.

I’m so grateful for Una Springwood, it’s honestly been the best choice for my one-year-old. He absolutely loves going there every day, and as a parent, it makes such a difference knowing he’s in such caring hands. The educators are incredible, they really take the time to connect with the kids and encourage them to express themselves. It makes it so much easier for me to head to work because I know my child is happy and excited to be there.

One of the best things is that he never cries when I say goodbye! The staff create such a welcoming, fun environment that I can leave with peace of mind. They also go above and beyond in keeping parents updated, whether it’s through feedback or the cutest photo updates, it’s so nice to see what my little one has been up to during the day.

I couldn’t recommend Una Springwood enough!

Una Springwood is a beautiful centre, with a well-kept, warm ambience and a friendly team. After trying out a few different centres, we found immense peace in discovering Una. From the carefully curated snacks and meals to the clean environment and bush kindy atmosphere, we are pleased with our choice of Una... and the family-friendly feeling environment the team has curated at Una is very warm and welcoming. I feel very safe leaving my daughter in such good hands, absolutely recommend!

What we love most about Una is the educators. They are thoughtful, warm, and truly invested in each child. You can feel the care they bring to everything they do, and that’s what makes Una so special. The beautiful outdoor space and chickens are lovely, but it’s the people who make it feel like home. What is the atmosphere near Eight Mile Plains like?

As soon as you enter our childcare centre near Eight Mile Plains, you’ll notice something unique. Because we make sure each child at Una feels emotionally comfortable and engaged in our learning activities, our centres tend to feel calm and focussed. We encourage children to be respectful of each other, explore diversity and social messages, and help children understand what’s fair.

Inside each classroom, there are caring and nurturing Educators guiding the children on a learning adventure. We encourage you to visit and experience it yourself!

Tell me more about your specialised learning experiences.

Our learning programs are a terrific stepping stone for your child’s development and future schooling. They are designed to help socially and emotionally prepare children for school. We offer many creative learning activities, including music lessons for all age groups. These specialised experiences are included in the childcare service at no extra cost.

What should my child wear to Childcare near Eight Mile Plains?

In order to engage in activities it is important that children are dressed in clothes that allow them to be comfortable as well as being free to experience all activities available. When dressing children for our childcare centre, please consider that clothes (including footwear) should be:

suitable for messy play ie able to get dirty/stained;
allow children to be comfortable and provide free movement in both the indoor and outdoor environments;
easy for children to remove and put on to support self-help skills;
suitable for weather conditions;
sun safe;
safe for running, jumping and climbing;
free of hoods, drawstrings and cords as these can be a potential choking hazard;
clearly named.

What if my child requires medication whilst at the Springwood Centre near Eight Mile Plains?

Medication is able to be administered to a child whilst at the Centre provided that the requirements outlined in our Medication policy are met.

Do you close throughout the year and how long for?

No, at Una Springwood we are open 52 weeks a year and only closed on weekends and public holidays.

When will my child move rooms?

As your child grows and develops in Eight Mile Plains, there will be a need to transition into the next age group. Your child’s readiness for such a move will be discussed with you and your child will transition gradually into their new room. Each child’s transition phase is different and we are guided by the child as to the time required for them to gain a sense of belonging in their new room.

Will I be able to visit my child during the day at any time?

Yes, we have an open door policy and families are welcome to visit at any time. We do also have special events planned throughout the year where families are invited to participate. Ie Mothers Day, Fathers Day, Grandparents Day, Occupations week.
